Implant Restoration
At Florence Family Dental, PC, we provide implant restoration services when they’re necessary. Our staff knows the signs of implant problems, and we are committed to checking them each time we see you. During visits after having implants put in, we assess your gums, bone density and any part that’s connected to the implant. These checks are in an effort to keep you healthy and catch any problems with the implants.
When you receive implants, we will guide you on how best to take care of them. This will help you minimize problems and be aware if any present themselves. If you think there is an issue with your current implants, please let us know so we can check them.
At Florence Family Dental, PC, we follow our ethical way of doing business when we approach implant restoration. This means that we put your health and well-being first. We always check your implants after we fit them, and we give you the information you need about your oral health and treatments.

Bridges
Bridges are generally defined as 3+ attached crowns in any given area of the jaw. They are used to replace the structure and function of missing teeth, and give you a more complete and natural-looking tooth structure.
Bridges use the existing structure of your teeth to work the way they are supposed to. These smart, durable dental devices are used to “bridge” gaps and create normalcy for speaking, chewing, and overall jaw movement. They boast the highest levels of strength across a myriad of solutions, and are popular among adult patients looking for an alternative to partial dentures.
How is a bridge installed? The abutments and the base of your jaw are properly shaped next to where the bridge will be placed. Like crowns, once the area is shaped, a mold of your jaw is taken, sent to a lab for fabrication, and you have a temporary bridge installed. The mold acts as a blueprint to fit everything according to your needs, and a guide when you have your final bridges permanently fitted to your teeth. Bridges help to avoid any further “falling” of surrounding teeth, and can prevent other serious problems such as TMJ, gum disease, and more.

Inlays and Onlays
Dental inlays and onlays are considered a conservative method of treating damaged teeth. They are used instead of placing a crown. Some dentists even use inlays and onlays to treat tooth decay. Instead of filling in the tooth, your dentist may use dental inlays and onlays.
Dental inlays and onlays are made in a dental lab and then fitted to your tooth. They are then bonded to your tooth.

Cracked Tooth Repair
Cracked teeth can cause a variety of symptoms including pain while chewing, temperature sensitivities, and the release of biting pressure. It’s common for pain to come and go, which can make diagnosing the cause difficult.
While you chew, cracked pieces of your tooth move, causing the pulp within the tooth may become irritated. When biting pressure is released, the crack can close quickly resulting in sharp pain. If left untreated, the pulp will eventually become damaged and the tooth will constantly hurt, even when you are not chewing.
There are different types of cracks, and each should be evaluated to prevent tooth loss and infection.
